43 Assam Rifles organized a pledge taking ceremony to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Quit India Movement at Sarkaribagan, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Assam Rifles Public School atHaflong in Dima Hasao district of Assam.

850 participants including jawans, students and teachers pledged to put in concerted effort in making the country the finest in the world by 2022.

In the series of activities, an essay writing competition on the theme ‘New India Manthan’ was conducted for the students of Assam Rifles Public School of Haflong.

Prizes were awarded to the winning entries.

Teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya and Assam Rifles Public School thanked the Assam Rifles for conducting such events in school and for making students aware of the relevance of such days in the history of India.
