In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide at her house at Nakuchi village in Bhabanipur area in Lowe Assam’s Barpeta district after failure in higher secondary final examinations, 2018, results of which were declared on Thursday.
The girl identified as Rupia Prabin, who appeared HS examinations from Bhawanipur Anchalik College, committed suicide by hanging herself after getting the examination results.
According to the members of her family, she was found hanging at the kitchen and the members of her family immediately rushed her to Swahid Madan Rawta Bajali Hospital at Pathsala where she was declared brought dead.
The body of the victim has been sent for post-mortem examination at Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed Medical College & Hospital, police officials said.
