Silchar: Bodies of a minor boy and a 13-year-old girl have been recovered in a village adjacent to Silchar in Assam’s Cachar district.
Police said, that this might be a case of suicide and there is a possibility of a love affair between the two.
As per the initial investigation, both of them used to reside in the same locality.
“The family members are not reciprocating to any of our queries but the locals informed us that these two went missing on Thursday evening,” officials of Malugram Police Outpost said.
Sheetal Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police, Cachar district, said that the bodies have been sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
The boy as well as the girl belonged to the very same religious community, so there was no chance of an inter-religious affair, the locals said.
