Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed Inspection Bungalow (IB) at Jamugurihat.
The Chief Minister also paid tributes to martyrs at the Saptaswahid Bedi in presence of multitudes of people at the historic Barechaharia Bhaona site.
The leaders of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) including chief adviser Samujjal Bhattacharyya were present at the programme.
State Power minister Pallab Lochan Das and Sootia legislator Padma Hazarika were also present at the programme.
Chief Minister Sonowal also inaugurated the newly built Nagsankar Natya Bhawan in Nagsankar, Biswanath.
The bhawan, established in 1962, is an important cultural centre and has played a major role in promoting traditional art forms in the region.
