Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday digitised the evergreen song ‘Gose Gose Paati Dile’ by Assam’s cultural icon and songwriter Jyoti Prasad Agarwala during a programme organised at Jyoti Chitraban in Guwahati on the occasion of Silpi Divas and Golden Jubilee celebration of Jyoti Chitraban.
Meanwhile, noted music artistes Anima Borthakur and Kula Barua were awarded the Silpi Bota 2018 by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on the occasion of Silpi Divas at Jyoti Chitraban on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Sonowal digitised the song ‘Gose Gose’ from a vinyl player, symbolising launch of the music digitisation campaign initiated by the students of IIM Ahmedabad.
Sonowal also paid tributes to Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, one of the doyens of Assamese culture, on the occasion at Jyoti Chitraban.
