Dr M Angamuthu, the Commissioner of the North Assam Division had visited the Biswanath district on Wednesday to review the law and order scenario of the district.
He held a meeting with the district and police administration of Biswanath on post publication of final draft of the National Citizens Register (NRC) at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath.
He reviewed on various aspects related to post draft publication of complete NRC and law and order situation related to it.
Deputy Commissioner Dheeraj Jyoti Kalita, Superintendent of Police Diganta Kumar Choudhury and other senior officials were present in that meeting.
Later, Angamuthu visited the Gohpur sub-division and held a similar meeting with the officials.
Apart from NRC, he also took stock of the flood situation of Gohpur from the ADC and in charge SDO of Gohpur, Dr Indranoshee Das.
