The Second Security Forces Badminton Tournament which was organized by 129 Bn CRPF at Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) Indoor stadium concluded here on Saturday.

In the final match, K. Shiva Prasad of 129 Bn CRPF emerged champion defeating his compatriot Raj Kumar in straight set 2-0.

In the double final match, Tanveer Jamal, Deputy Commandant and M. Balaji of 129 Bn CRPF emerged champion defeating nicely club team of E. Ramesh and K. Shiva Prasad of 129 Bn CRPF in straight set 2-0.

Daneshwsar Goyari, Executive Member, In-charge, Sports, BTC, Kokrajhar, attended the final match as Chief Guest and gave away the trophy to the winners and the runners-up teams.

Kokrajhar Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh, Jitendra Gupta, Commandant, 6 SSB, Chandrakant Upadhyaya, Commandant, 31 SSB, H. K. Brahma, Commandant, NTPC, CISF and many other senior officers were present in the tournament.

Altogether 10 teams from 129 Bn CRPF, 6 Bn SSB, 31 Bn SSB, CISF (NTPC) , 210 CoBRA, 12 Sikh Light, Assam Police, 7 AP Bn participated in the tournament.

Daneshwsar Goyari, EM, BTC, appreciated the intiative of organising the tournament and said that it is the 2nd such tournament that has been organized by 129 Bn CRPF.

He also said that it is the privilege for the security forces to show their skill and strength as well as enhancing the relation with the public.

In the tournament, Commandants and constables teamed up and gave their best in the tournament which has been lauded by all.
