The Academic Board of Adi Baane Kebang felicitated 18 individuals of the Adi community, who recently cleared the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Examination and would now serve the state government as assistant engineers in various departments.

The board on Saturday also felicitated the girls’ football team which played the finals of the Hero Sub-Junior Girls’ National Championship 2019-20 recently at Cuttack in Odisha and emerged runners-up.

Health and family welfare minister Alo Libang, who attended the programme as the chief guest, in his address said that the newly selected officers should serve the people with dedication and commitment.

The minister said the new government under the leadership of chief minister Pema Khandu is committed to promote young talents of the state and appreciated the girl’s football team who made the state proud by winning silver at the national level for the first time.

PWD commissioner Belatee Pertin in his speech as the resource person advised the young officers not to get trapped under the influence of some unscrupulous contractors and cautioned that they would be facing many in their years ahead.

“Officers should be free and fair and work for the welfare of the common people,” he said.

ABK president Getom Borang also spoke on the occasion.
