The Arunachal Pradesh taekwondo team clinched a total of 13 medals including 10 gold, one silver and two bronze in the 3rd Goodwill Open National Taekwondo Championship 2018, which was organized by Amguri Taekwondo Academy, Sivasagar in Assam from April 28 to 30.
The medal winners are Ganghung Gangsa (Individual, Pair & Group) (3 Gold), Rupa Bayor (Individual, Pair & Group, Poomsae & Kyorugi) (4 Gold), Pimar Yitor (Group Poomsae & Kyorugi) (2 Gold) and Leechang Nyorak (Kyorugi) (1 Gold).
Tang Kanu won silver in Kyorugi, while Bindo Ete and Pimar Yitor won a bronze each in individual poomsae.
The state team was led by Coach Deepak Gurung, according to an Arunachal Taekwondo Association release issued on Friday.
