The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) has urged the state government to scrap the Government–e-Marketing (GeM) procurement system in the interest of the business community and youths of Arunachal Pradesh.
GeM is a one-stop portal to facilitate online procurement of common use goods and services required by various government departments/organizations and PSUs.
In a letter to the chief minister’s office on Tuesday, the ANYA said, “Most of the departments procuring various materials/office items for GeM is against the interest of the business community.”
“The community pays taxes, dealership/distributor fees and also give licensing fees for trade licenses to the state government,” the letter added.
