Members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has approached Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu and discussed several important issues.

They met Khandu in Itanagar on Friday and discussed ways to further develop the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences at Nararlagun, which is the lone government medical college in the state.

The chief minister also discussed on ways to better manage the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, with positive cases surging.

The IMA team also brought to Khandu’s attention the increasing drug menace and requested his government to take strict measures to prevent rampant drug abuse in the state.

Khandu meanwhile, assured that the Arunachal government will take proactive measures to address these issues.
