In a bid to create an investor friendly environment in Arunachal Pradesh, home minister Bamang Felix on Friday convened a meeting with numerous corporate representatives.

The meeting was held at Felix’s secretariat office in Itanagar and discussion was held in length the ways to materialize the plan of creating an investor friendly environment in the state.

Representatives of corporate giants like DIAGEO, NHPC Ltd, Powergrid Ltd, Bharat Petroleum, Tata Steel, JIO and Reliance Communication Ltd attended the meeting.

Welcoming the delegates to the meeting, Felix requested all to come forward and explore the diverse opportunities offered by the state and the region.

He said the state government is willing to extend its full support to investors who are interested in investing in Arunachal Pradesh.

Felix, however, also cited a few challenges faced by the state in terms of connectivity and communication which he said is being positively and actively taken care of by the present government.

He informed about the land reforms undertaken by the state government which would help the corporate sector to establish their setups.

While participating in the meeting, many corporate representatives who have their operations in the State highlighted the problems they faced on regular basis.

Felix assured that a special security team would be provided for safety and security of the corporates in their work place so that they can have smooth operations.

During the discussion on corporate social responsibility activities, the home minister informed the  delegates about “Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan”, a govt of Arunachal campaign, which is designed to educate people on their responsibility as  a law-abiding citizens.

Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan is also aimed at securing safe investment in the state.

He appealed to the corporate sectors to partner with the Arunachal Pradesh Police to make Hamara Arunachal Abhiyaan a grand success and to which the industry giants assured their support.
