Arunachal Pradesh has registered two more COVID19 positive cases, taking the state’s overall tally to to 22.

Confirming the news, the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Arunachal Pradesh, on its Twitter handle said on Monday night that the new COVID19 positive cases have been detected in Changlang district.

With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 cases registered in Arunachal Pradesh has increased to 21.

The state’s first COVID19 patient has already been discharged after recovery.

Earlier on the day, 16 COVID19 positive cases were reported in the state.

“Covid Update: In addition to the earlier reported 16 patients, two more Covid positive patients have been reported in Changlang, taking the total number in the state to 22,” Arunachal DIPR tweeted on Monday.

“Total Covid patients: 22. Active: 21. Discharged: 1,” it added.

The information on the detection of 15 more COVID19 positive cases in Arunachal Pradesh was shared by chief minister Pema Khandu in a tweet on Monday evening.

He said all the infected patients were in quarantine facilities and they were shifted to the Covid Care Centre.

With the 15 new cases, the number of total active COVID19 cases registered in Arunachal Pradesh increased to 19 in the evening.

“Rise in Positive #Covid19, 15 more positive cases detected, all are in Quarantine facilities being shifted to Covid Care Centre. Total Positive Active as of now is 19,” chief minister Khandu tweeted at 5.32 pm on Monday.

In an earlier tweet at 4.18 pm on Monday, the chief minister informed about the detection of the state’s fifth COVID19 positive case.
