The state health department has advised all asymptomatic students returning to Arunachal Pradesh from other states to practise social distancing by home quarantine for a period of 14 days.
It may be mentioned that many students, who have been studying outside Arunachal Pradesh, have returned to the state, due to the closure of their educational institutions or hostels.
The students of Arunachal Pradesh have been urged by the health department to immediately contact the 24×7 control room or their nearest health centres if they develop any symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulties.
Meanwhile, Capital Complex district transport officer C Wangsu along with agriculture development officer Dolang Akom and motor vehicle inspector Tania Soni and their team on Saturday carried out massive disinfection of commercial vehicles and passenger buses within the capital region.

The disinfection drive was carried out from Bage Tinali to Ganga market in Itanagar.
Capital Complex deputy commissioner Komkar Dulom earlier issued an order directing the DTO and station superintendents of Itanagar and Naharlagun to initiate necessary action to disinfect all the transport stations, passenger buses and commercial vehicles to control the spread of COVID-19.
A similar disinfection drive was also carried out by the Papum Pare district administration in coordination with the health, agriculture, horticulture and district disaster management departments.
On Saturday, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu appealed to the people of the state to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Janta Curfew’ on Sunday.
The Prime Minister on Thursday had urged the citizens of the country to follow the concept of ‘Janta Curfew’ on March 22 from 7 am to 9 pm in order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
