The construction agency successfully conducted trial drive with APST buses over the newly constructed Sisar bridge on Tuesday.

It further announced that it might be opened soon after the ensuing Independence Day.

The highway will give better connectivity in eastern Arunachal districts as it is passing through Roing (Lower Dibang Valley), Tezu (Lohit) and Namsai.

It finally links Bhupen Hazarika Setu at Dhola-Sadiya area in Upper Assam’s Tinsukia district.

The state’s deputy chief minister Chowna Mein inspected the highway and bridge construction activities at Sisar last year and asked officials of construction agency to expedite ongoing highway works.
