ITANAGAR: A cargo ship carrying construction materials reportedly sank in the Subansiri River in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday (May 22).
Following efforts, a part of the sunken ship, named MT Veeradatta, was reportedly salvaged by the construction company responsible for the shipment.
Meanwhile, efforts are underway to salvage the remaining sections of the vessel and its cargo.
The cause of the sinking and the extent of material loss are currently under investigation.
