In an endeavour to bring awareness and train the local youths in joining the Indian Armed Forces, a two week “Youth Motivation and Guidance and Training Programme” was organized in Jang, Western Arunachal Pradesh.
The training programme was held in Jang, Higher Secondary School Jang and Jang Sports Club.
2 Garhwal Rifles under the aegis of East Tawang Brigade, Blazing Sword Division in collaboration with the civil administration of Jang organized it in Tawang District.
In an impressive opening ceremony which was organized at Jang Higher Secondary School, 122 students, 82 girls and 42 boys registered for the programme.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by Brig. Ramesh Sethi, SM, Commander East Tawang Brigade, Col. AP Kandwal, CO. 2 Garhwal Rifles and Lt. Col. Rahul Singh, 2 IC of 2 Garhwal Rifles.
A host of civil dignitaries including ADC, Jang, Chief Medical Officer Jang, Block Education Officer Jang, Circle Officer Jang, Principle of Higher Secondary School Jang, 14 Teachers of Higher Secondary School Jang and Gaon Buras of the area were present at the programme.
