Liromoba legislator Nyamar Karbak on Saturday visited Kesi Tali, the smallest village under the Liromoba assembly constituency in Arunachal Pradesh and helped the villagers there erect a solar mast light.
The installation of the solar mast light also marked the 74th Independence Day celebrations.
The remote Kesi Tali village which falls under Kamba circle of Arunachal Pradesh’s West Siang district is around 400 kms from here.
The village has 7 houses with a population of 35 people and continues to remain isolated due to the lack of road connectivity. The nearest town Kamba is around 19 km away and the villagers normally travel on foot for all their requirements.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Karbak assured to connect Kesi Tali with a motorable road within the next one year and also construct a community hall for the villagers soon.
The MLA further appealed to the villagers to adopt cluster farming and kitchen garden in their respective compounds and by taking advantage of the ‘cluster nutritional kitchen garden’ scheme so as to become self-reliant and promote Prime Minister Modi’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan.
He also lauded the efforts of the health warriors, the administration and police who have been leading the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
