As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise steeply in Arunachal Pradesh, the state government has decided to extend the total lockdown in Itanagar till August 3.
State chief secretary Naresh Kumar informed that the lockdown has been extended keeping in view the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state.
The lockdown has been extended with the aim to contain the community transmission of the virus in the region, Kumar said.
