The final match of the competition played at the Rajiv Gandhi University ground here saw Itanagar win the toss and ask Kra Daadi to bat first.

Kra Daadi was on Tuesday crowned champions of the Tado Kholi Inter-District Cricket Trophy in Arunachal Pradesh after they defeated Itanagar by a convincing margin of 35 runs.

The final match of the competition played at the Rajiv Gandhi University ground here saw Itanagar win the toss and ask Kra Daadi to bat first.

Batting first Kra Daadi only managed to post a score of 133 runs on the board, thanks to a superb bowling spell from Nabam Josh who took 4 wickets for Itanagar in his 10 overs by giving away only 25 runs.

Josh’s bowling performance, however, could not be repeated by his team’s batsmen as they bundled out for mere 98 runs in the 32nd over with only Suhel Aktar Ansari scoring most of the runs (44).

Sandeep Kumar Siwach who had already registered a 6-wicket haul for Kra Daadi in the quarter finals continued with his excellent form in the match and managed to take 3 wickets for which he was also adjudged the man of the math later.

Nabam Dol of Itanagar won the prestigious man of the series award.
