A girl from Arunachal Pradesh Niki Lego had created quite a buzz after she posted her picture in the United States (US) Army uniform on her social media account.
Lego, who joined the US Army in September 2019, is currently posted in Georgia.
In an interview with The Print, Lego said, “I had changed my profile picture there days ago and somebody must have got hold of it. Hence, the buzz.”
“I just completed my training on March 5. It started in September last year in South Carolina and in November, I was moved to train in Georgia. After training, I have got stationed in Georgia itself and work for the system management and engineering team,” she added.
Lego did her graduation in political science from Shillong’s Lady Keane College and completed her post graduation from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in New Delhi.
She worked for Google and some other companies in the US before joining the US Army.
Ninong Ering, Congress leader and former Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh shared Niki Lego’s story, calling her an ‘inspiration’ for the youth of the State.
He tweeted, “Congratulations to Ms. Nikki Lego for the achievement. It will inspire the youth of Arunachal Pradesh to chase their dreams.”
Netizens too praised Lego for her remarkable achievements.
