Addressing a review meeting at her office here, the DC, while briefing the sector magistrates on their roles and responsibilities, called for unified efforts from them for the smooth conduct of the rural polls.

“The onus of conducting the elections successfully lays on the shoulders of the sector magistrates as well. Therefore, right from assessing the basic facilities, road conditions, and network connectivity etc, the role of a sector magistrate is vital,” the DC said while requesting the senior officers to ponder upon their duties sincerely.

She further directed the officers to personally visit the polling stations assigned to them to assess the infrastructure requirements.
