Weeks after a major reshuffle in the police department, Meghalaya government effected yet another reshuffle in the forces involving at least six officers serving in different capacities across the hill state.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (ER), AR Mawthoh is transferred on Thursday and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training) cum Director, Meghalaya Police Academy, with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further order.

Deputy Inspector General of Police (SB) SS Kynjing is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police (Administration), the notification issued on Thursday said adding that Deputy General of Police (Security) Ricky Dkhar, is transferred and posted as Deputy General of Police (SB). Dkhar will, however, also hold his current responsibility of DIG (security) in addition to his own duties.

Similarly, Meghalaya Deputy General of Police (Training) cum Director of Meghalaya Police Academy FG Kharshiing, is transferred and posted as Deputy General of Police (CID) against the existing vacancy, with effect from the date of taking over charge and until further orders, the notification said.

On the other hand, MK Dkhar, Deputy General of Police (Administration) is transferred and posted as Deputy General of Police (ER) while Superintendent of Police (Communication), RJ Rodborne, is transferred and posted as SP (C) Tura.
