BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday promised to make Tripura a model state within five years if voted to power. He urged voters of Tripura to uproot Left Front government for ignoring their plight.

Amit Shah addressed rallies at Mohanpur, Chawmanu and Teliamura and attended a roadshow while travelling from Bamutia to Mohanpur.

He promised to raise the minimum wages of labourer from existing Rs 177 to Rs 330. The BJP president assured the voters to implement 7th pay commission within week of the formation of the BJP government in Tripura.

Shah alleged the communists believe in keeping the people poor so that they remain dependent on the party. He further said the centre has multiplied the fund three times though the CPI-M is trying to portray the opposite picture.

He also alleged the CPI-M has unleashed a reign of terror and are attacking the BJP workers. “Nobody will be spared after BJP-IPFT alliance comes to power,” Amit Shah said.
