Major electronic companies have launched 5G smartphones in India in order to occupy a premium place in the 5G mobile market in the country.

However, India still does not have a 5G network but still the competition of launching 5G smartphones in the country have already become high among most electronic companies.

Electronic companies like Realme and Vivo have recently launched X50 Pro 5G and IQOO 3 5G smartphones in India respectively.

Both of the phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which is a 5G supported processor.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth said that the company wants its customers to experience the highly advanced technological features of its new 5G smartphone.

He also said that Indians who travel abroad can find the phone quite useful as 5G technology is available in most developed countries.

“The Realme X50 Pro is a 4G/5G top-notch flagship even for 4G users. We did not launch it solely because of 5G, we launched it because it is the ultimate flagship smartphone. The Realme X50 Pro is a future-ready device, as the evolution to 5G might start soon. India may not have the infrastructure at the moment, but the country is 5G ready,” Sheth added.

Moreover, Qualcomm is trying to introduce more of its 5G supported processor Snapdragon 865 mobile phones in the country with the intention of getting a good price.

Qualcomm India senior director Sachin Kalantri said, “The global handset ecosystem will start moving towards 5G and more affordable handsets are expected later part of the year. Aligning with global trends has its own benefits and will bring cost optimizations for discernible Indian consumers.”
