The 48 hours nationwide strike evoked a mixed reaction during the first day in Tripura.

In capital Agartala, there very less traffic and commuters on the roads compared to other weekdays.

Most of the shops, petrol pumps, and private organizations were closed but later BJP supporters opened them.

Offices, schools, government organizations and most of the banks were open but had a deserted look as very less students and visitors were there.

Most long distance vehicles did not go out of the bus terminus, only a few small vehicles. However, train and air service were normal.

Though common people and daily wage labourers expressed that strike is not a solution to any problem but a section from the government employees expressed that the strike was necessary to press the centre for the long-standing demands.
