The 10th biennial general meeting of the Pandu Branch of the N F Railway Pensioners’ Association (NFRPA) is scheduled to be held on March 14, 2018 in the premises of the Railway Institute Central Pandu (Recreation Club), Pandu at 9:30 am.

The meeting will be inaugurated by Ashit Mohan Roy, Chief Adviser, NFRPA. The Railway pensioners and family pensioners from greater Guwahati areas will participate in the meeting.

At the moment pensioners are very much concerned over not getting their revised pension of 7th Central Pay Commission.

They are also worried over the continuous reduction of interest in small savings.

Not only that they are very much aggrieved and concerned about the attack on their savings through proposed FRDI Bill, 2017.

The meeting is expected to take up all these issues confronted by the Railway pensioners and chalk out future course of action to solve them especially, early payment of revised pension of seventh Pay Commission.

Among other issues to be discussed include the order of the payment of  which was issued  eight months ago,  deplorable condition of Railway medical services especially shortage of doctors and shortage of medicines regularly needed for most of the pensioners, delay and harassment in granting life time family pension to unmarried/widow/divorced daughters of the pensioners etc.
