Indian Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh on Sunday called on Bangladesh chief of Army staff General Aziz Ahmed at Army Headquarter in Dhaka Cantonment.
During the meeting, they discussed issues of bilateral interest.
They also exuded confidence of continuing their mutual co-operation to strengthen the existing relationship between Bangladesh and Indian defence forces, according to reports.
Earlier in the morning, the chief of the Indian Navy placed wreaths at Shikha Anirban (the eternal flame) in Dhaka Cantonment and paid homage to the martyrs of liberation war.
The two military chiefs also exchanged greetings and the chief of Bangladesh Army staff cordially thanked Indian Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh for visiting his country.
