One Bangladeshi national was captured from Duramari village under Fakiragram PS on Sunday, December 10. 19-year-old driver Alamin Islam who is a resident of Mymensingh district came to Duramari village on December 9 reportedly by Rajdhani Express. He was identified as the son of late Shahjahan Islam and Mustt. Amena Kulsum of Kanai Bortola near Chari Chikka College, Muktagacha Satraisia, Muktagacha (PO).

Some sources say that he had visited Fakiragram area and after the locals had noticed the stranger and his suspicious movements, they informed the police, who later detained him.

Rajen Singh SP Kokrajhar said, ”During the interrogation by police, he could not produce any legal document of his nationality. Eventually, he was arrested and sent to jail on Monday”. Police were keeping a close eye on the area and therefore was able to apprehend the Bangladeshi national promptly. Illegal migration is a big problem in the area especially muslims from Bangladesh.
