Guwahati: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is slated to announce the dates of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has said that this time in 2024, 19.74 voters will be in the age group of 20 to 29.

A total of 1.82 crore are first-time voters in our electoral rolls, CEC Rajiv Kumar said, highlighting the importance of youth in the growth and development of the country.

Which makes it 21.54 crore voters between the age group of 18 to 29.

Kumar said, “We have 97 crore registered voters, 10.5 lakh polling stations, 1.5 crores polling officials and security staff, 55 lakhs EVMs, 4 lakhs vehicles.”

“Growing gender ratio in electoral rolls is a testament to women celebrating their right to vote. Efforts have brought women into the process, with 12 States/UTs boasting an elector gender ratio of over 1000. Over 85 lakh 1st-time women voters will participate in this year’s election,” tweeted the Election Commission of India.

Out of the 98.8 crore voters, 49.7 crore are males and 47.1 crore voters are females.

82 lakh voters are above the age of 85 and 2.18 lakh voters are above the age of 100.

88.4 lakh voters are from the PwD category.

A total of 48,000 voters are registered as transgenders.
