Guwahati: A minor girl reportedly died by suicide in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday night.
As per initial reports, the minor was found dead at the Gotanagar area in Guwahati’s Jalukbari region.
She lived with her uncle’s family in Gotanagar but was a resident of Azara on the outskirts of Guwahati.
While the claims area of a suspected suicide, it is not known why the minor chose such an extreme step.

The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
A police source said that they will also investigate the murder angle.
Earlier on Friday, two minors were found dead hanging from a tree in Silchar, Assam.
As per reports, the case has been suspected to be a double suicide over an alleged love affair.
While no proper evidence to claim it has been found yet, police said that they are investigating the matter.
The police also said that they are also looking at angles such as honour killing.

The minor boy and girl were said to be missing since last Thursday and were mysteriously found dead on Saturday.
The bodies were taken to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital for postmortem and further proceedings.
It has also been reported that both minors belonged to the same religion and lived in the same village.
