Assam Jammu and Kashmir Kamakhya Temple
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha offered prayers at the Kamakhya Temple and sought blessings of the revered goddess.

Guwahati: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was on a day-long visit to Guwahati in Assam on Sunday (September 15, 2024).

The Lieutenant Governor arrived at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in the afternoon and proceeded straight to the Kamakhya temple in the city.

On his arrival, the temple management committee greeted him with a ‘gamosa’ and a memento.

Lieutenant Governor Sinha offered prayers at the temple and sought blessings of the revered goddess.

Expressing his gratitude towards the temple management for the arrangements, the Lieutenant Governor said he feels a divine presence every time he visits Kamakhya Temple.

Situated atop the Nilachal Hills, the Kamakhya Temple is one of the oldest and most revered centres of Tantric practices and one of the 51 Shakti Peeths.
