On the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day celebration, Green Mission and Pathsala Town Committee distributed Neem saplings among the people on the road coming to Pathsala town in Barpeta district.

In a view of raising global awareness about the importance of a healthy and green environment, to solve the environmental issues by implementing some positive environmental steps as well as to make the common public aware that everyone is responsible for saving environment, the drive was taken on Wednesday.

Brand ambassador of Assam, Ananda Khataniyar, an avid nature lover and an employee of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI), Pathsala branch, who is the director of Green Mission, Bajali and the members of Pathsala Town Committee, chairman Himanshu Roy, worker Prabha Das and many others distributed a total of one thousand Neem saplings among the people coming through the road at Pathsala town.

Khataniyar appealed to the people, the people should make a habit of plantation during any occasion to save the environment because in today’s world, deforestation has posed a serious threat to the ecological balance.
