The winners of Miss Kalimpong 2017 are all set to be the show stoppers at the Café Infiniti New Year bash in Gangtok.
The three beauties, Anisha Tamang, Awishna Raj Pradhan and Priyana Pradhan are geared to set the stage on fire. They will walk the ramp along with other models of Sikkim at the event. Awishna Raj Pradhan has also been chosen as the brand ambassador of the café for the next year.
The beauty pageant was revived in the State Gyalshen Lha, the CEO of the pageant organizing committee after a long gap of 40 years this year.
Lha is a fashion blogger and model based in Kolkata and is all of just 22 years old. Lha has been organizing fashion events in Kalimpong since 2015.
Lha used to come to Kalimpong only for vacations and for organizing fashion events. The revival of the beauty pageant took Lha a complete year-long planning.
This year, the theme of Miss Kalimpong beauty pageant was ‘Beauty with a purpose’ and the title sponsor was Mani Trust NGO. As many as 15 aspirants took in the beauty pageant held this year in Kalimpong.
Several rounds of selection were done by a 12-member jury before Anisha Tamang was crowned Miss Kalimpong while, Awishna Raj Pradhan was adjudged first runner up and Priyana Pradhan the second runner up.
