Tripura’s Mamita Debbarma was crowned as Fbb Colors Femina Miss India Tripura 2018 during the West Bengal auditions, which took place on March 18, in Kolkata.
She succeeds Rinky Chakma as the new Femina Miss India Tripura and will now represent Tripura at Femina Miss India 2018.
Last year three participants from Northeast made it to semi-finals of Femina Miss India pageant. They were Triveni Barman from Assam, Rody H Vanlalhriatpuii from Mizoram and Licha Thosum from Arunachal Pradesh.
The 55th edition of Femina Miss India is all set to be hosted in May. The grand finale of Femina Miss India 2018 is expected to take place in June in Mumbai.
Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant in India that annually selects representatives to compete in the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. It is organized by Femina, a women’s magazine published by The Times Group.
