Veteran Assamese film-maker Jahnu Barua’s directorial venture That Gusty Morning will be screened at Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) 2018. The film festival is being hosted from January 28 to February 5.
The film That Gusty Morning stars notable Assamese actors like Seema Biswas, Arun Nath, Kopil Bora and Urmila Mahanta. It is a heartfelt account of early onset Alzheimer’s descending on the mother (Seema Biswas) and the family’s frantic attempt to deal with the repercussions from the disease.
The 22 minutes long film will be showcased in the International Competition section of the film festival.
Produced by Gayatri Barua and Naumi Barua, the film will be screened on Tuesday, January 30, at the theatre auditorium 1 at 10:15 in the morning.
Organized by the Film Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF), is the oldest and the largest film festival for non-feature films in South Asia.
