Meghalaya Government has allocated Rs 969.64 crore for the education sector. Rs 613.31 crore for health and family welfare sector, and Rs 1,457.94 crore for the community and rural development sector for the next fiscal.
CM Conrad K Sangma also said the state has been widely praised for being one of the best in terms of implementation of MGNREGA, especially in the creation of sustainable and durable assets, said Chief Minister and Finance Minister Conrad K. Sangma while presenting the Budget.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma presented a deficit budget of Rs 1,150 crore for the fiscal year 2018-2019, which is around 3.32 per cent of the GSDP, during the Assembly budget session on Friday.
