In a bid to make strong cultural and academic relations with Bangladesh, the government of India has introduced scholarship schemes for Bangladeshi students.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has sought application from Bangladeshi students interested to study in India for educational scholarship.

The schemes are introduced for students from Bangladesh to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD including engineering courses.

Under these schemes more than 200 Bangladeshi students are benefited every year.

Interested students can apply online till 5 pm on January 20.  They will have to log in to https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in and create log in ID and password.

The students must have proficiency in English language and have to sit in a 30-minute test. The date and venue for the test will be informed to the applicants after the submission of their application forms. Students applying for admission into the particular subject will have to secure at least 60% marks or 3 out of 5 CGPA.

Students applying for BE or B Tech scholarships must have physics, chemistry and mathematics as their subjects.

The minimum age of the applicants should be 18 years in July 2018 and will have to stay in hostel. For details the applicants can send email to [email protected].

About 3,000 Bangladeshi students have so far been benefitted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations Scholarship Schemes.
