As directed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Assam and implemented by Assam Science Technology and Environment Council, Guwahati, ‘PILGRIMAGE: the district implementing agency of National Children’s Science Congress, Dibrugarh is all set to organize regional level National Science Day – 2018 on February 18 covering the districts of Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Charaideo, Sivasagar, Jorhat, Majuli and Golaghat.
The day will be celebrated by conducting science based quiz, extempore speech, on the spot essay writing and on the spot drawing competitions in two categories.
(Lower group: Class VI to VIII and Higher group: class IX to XII) Maximum two students can take part in all events from each category from a school/institution.
This programme of national importance is hosted by Dibrugarh Hanumanbox Surajmal Kanoi College.
The last date for joining in all competitions is February 16. The schools/institutions can join through email or whatsApp also.
The first position holders of all the events in both categories will get chance to participate in the state level National Science Day celebration organized centrally by ASTEC in Guwahati on February 28, 2018.
Organizers have appealed to all the interested students of the seven districts to take part in all the competitions.
