Along with the rest of the State, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Supplementary Examination 2018 began in Hojai district also on Saturday.

As per official information, altogether 1283 candidates of Hojai district are appearing in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Supplementary Examination 2018.

The Deshbandhu Vidyapith High School in Hojai is the main examination centre in the district where the examination has been conducted for the students who remained unsuccessful in the last High School Leaving Certificate Examination 2018 conducted by the Secondary Board of Education Assam (SEBA).

Talking to Northeast Now, the Head Master of the Deshbandhu Vidyapith High School, Krishna Ghosh and Examination In-charge Brij Singh said, “For conducting the HSLC Supplementary Examination in a smooth way, a total of four examination centres have been set up where the examination began on Saturday. The supplementary examination will conclude on July 25, 2018.”

“In Deshbandhu Vidyapith High School, on Saturday, a total of 374 candidates appeared the examination, in Deshbandhu Girls’ High School a total of 277 candidates appeared, in Rabindra Vidylaya 297 candidate appeared and in Rastra Bhasha High School 100 candidates appeared in the examination,” they informed.

They requested the Power Department not to cut power during the examination of three hours so that candidates can write the examination without any difficulty due to summer heat.
