Tezpur University Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of one Project Associate-I in the DBT sponsored research project entitled “Bioinformatics and computational Biology Centre for Microbial Biodiversity in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Suvendra Kumar Ray, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. The duration of the project is up to 11/09/2028 or till completion of the project or until further order altogether, whichever is earlier

Qualification:
Master’s degree in engineering/science disciplines altogether with specialization in Computational
Biology/Bioinformatics/Biosciences/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/other related subject having NET/GATE of equivalent qualification.
Desirable:
Candidates with PhD degree and having experience in computational analysis of genome sequences or similar research.
Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only + 8% HRA also as admissible per month.
Age: Candidates shall not be more than 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may also be relaxed as per the Government of India Rules

Selection Procedure :
A Walk-in-Interview will be held at 10.00 a.m. on 11/03/2024 in Department of Molecular Biology
and Biotechnology, Tezpur University, Assam.
How to apply :
Candidates may appear before the interview board with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination qualifications, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate, any other testimonials, application in prescribed format (Annexure-I) and a copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
