Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Officer Trainee. POWERGRID, a ‘Maharatna’ Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is engaged in power transmission business with the mandate for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over complete Inter-State Transmission System. It operates around 1,77,790 km Transmission Lines along with 278 Sub-stations (as on 30th June 2024) and carries 45% of India’s Transmission Capacity of total power generated in the country through its transmission network. POWERGRID also owns and operates approximately 1,00,000 kms of Telecom Network, with points of presence in approx. 662 locations, points of Interconnections in 2408 locations and intra-city network in around 500 cities across India.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:

b) SC/ST candidates : 5 years (Subject to reservation of post)
c) PwBD candidates : 10 years over and above category relaxation
d) Ex-Servicemen/ DESM / Victims of riots : As per Govt. of India directives
