National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Senior Research Associate (02 in Performing Arts & 01 in Visual Arts)on contractual basis for the PAC approved programmes entitled “Development of Textbooks and Teacher’s Handbook in Arts Education from Secondary School Education” in the Department of Education in Arts and Aesthetics. The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an autonomous organisation altogether set up in 1961. The Government of India started it to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. The major objectives of NCERT and its constituent units are to undertake, promote and coordinate research in areas related to school education, prepare and publish model textbooks, supplementary material, newsletters, journals and develops educational kits, multimedia digital materials, etc. It also organises pre-service and in-service training of teachers. NCERT also develop and disseminate innovative educational techniques and practices, collaborate and network with state educational departments, universities, NGOs and other educational institutions.

Essential Qualification :
PG with 55% marks in any of Arts / Performing & Visual Arts) and also NET in relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications.
Experience : 2 Years Experience in the relevant Area.
Salary : Rs. 35000/- per month (Consolidated and fixed)
Age: Not more than 45 years (Relaxation as GOI norms)
