National Book Trust (NBT) Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Young Professionals. National Book Trust, India (under Ministry of Education, Government of India) has been working towards promoting books and reading in the
country for more than 66 years. In addition to publishing quality reading material across all genres and for all age-groups, in more than 55 Indian languages (including tribal languages & dialects), NBT-India promotes and encourages book reading through various book fairs and exhibitions that
it organises along with various seminars, workshops, panel discussions, book release functions, activities for children, etc. NBT-India organises the prestigious annual New Delhi World Book Fair, which is the world’s largest book fair. It also operates on innovative schemes of exhibition of books through mobile vans, known as ‘Pustak Parikramas’, across the country to make books accessible to the public at large in remote, rural and difficult areas. Since its launch in 1992, more than 15,000 such exhibitions have been organised across all the states in the country including the north-eastern states.
