Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of JRF (GATE) in the project entitled “Experimental and Numerical Appraisal of Heat Transfer Enhancement and Deterioration in Double-cooled Supercritical Forced-flow Channels” at the department of Mechanical Engineering. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati altogether commenced in 1995. At present the Institute also has altogether eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati’s campus is altogether on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 kms from the heart of the city Guwahati. IIT Guwahati is also the only academic institution in India that occupied a place among the top 100 world universities.

Qualification & Experience :
Post graduate degree in basic science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course
selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test – CSIRUGC NET including lectureship (Assistant
Professorship) and GATE. - The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government
Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOs, DRDO, MHRD,
ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc

Selection Procedure :
A walk-in-interview will be held on 24th May 2024 at 10 AM in HoD Meeting Room, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Guwahati, Assam
Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.
No campus accommodation will be available for the selected candidates.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
