Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Scientist in the project entitled “Annotated Atlas of the Heritage Sites of Assam: Using GIS” at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has altogether eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati’s campus is altogether on a sprawling 285 hectares plot of land on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra around 20 kms from the heart of the city.

PhD degree in Arts/Sciences/Engineering in the area of GIS/Geoinformatics.
OR
Master Degree in Archaeology, Geography, Geology, Anthropology /Btech + 3 yr exp. in GIS Survey
and Exploration.
Desirable Skills: Expertise in ArcGIS Software

Bachelor’s degree in Science/ Humanities + Experience in Field Survey/ Documentation/ Exploration.
Desirable Skills: Working knowledge of computer and Assamese, Bengali and Hindi language
Selection Procedure :
An online interview will be held on 21st March 2024 from 10 AM onwards altogether.
