Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati Assam is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of JRF (NET / GATE) to work on the DST-SERB sponsored research project titled Neutrino Astrophysics with next generation Water Cherenkov Detectors at the Department of Physics. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has altogether eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines.

Essential Qualification :
Post Graduate degree in basic science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree altogether in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant
Professorship) and also GATE. - The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government
Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOs, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISCR etc.
Selection Procedure : An online interview will be held on 27 February 2024 (Tuesday).
