Assam University Silchar is inviting applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post or career of Project Associate-II for research project entitled “Assessment of effect of multispecies consortium of effective bacterial strains of scented rice origin on improving yield
and functional traits and impact on rhizosphere microbiome of scented rice in multi-location field trails at Assam and Manipur” funded by DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India for a period of three years. The post is purely temporary and conterminous with the project. Assam University came into existence in 1994 after enactment of the Assam (Central) University Act 1989. Through its pursuit, Assam University is in the process of making itself an institute of excellence. Its main campus is present at Dargakona, about 20 kms away from Silchar. The campus is altogether spread over 600 acres. It also provides an ideal environment for the researchers, students. People who have an interest in academic excellence also finds this university good. The other campus of the university is present at Diphu in the district of Karbi Anglong, Assam. Eligibility Criteria :
The candidate should have M. Sc in Microbiology with minimum 55% marks, with 02 years research experience altogether
NET/GATE qualification is also desirable
Selection Procedure :
Candidates may appear for a walk-in-interview on 28th August 2024 altogether in the department of Microbiology, Assam University at 3.30 PM
