The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in Dibrugarh, with a colourful prabhat pheri van moving in different localities across the city, to mark the occasion.
The prabhat pheri van decorated with tri-colours moved through the urban and semi-urban areas of Dibrugarh, playing patriotic songs early in the morning.
The District Information and Public Relation officer and District Transport officer along with two Central Government Department; Directorate of Field Publicity and Nehru Yuva Kendra jointly took this initiative.
Pranab Kumar Nath, Field Publicity Officer and Bedabrata Bhuyan, of Nehru Yuva Kendra along with DIPRO officials and volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra participated in the prabhat pheri to mark the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Laya Madduri hoisted the tri-colour at Chowkidinghee play ground.
