Myanmar and Bangladesh will establish a bilateral communications system in attempts to step up efforts for fighting terrorism and to arrest ARSA terrorists and absconders, state media reported on November 16.
The decision was mentioned in the joint statement of the two border guard forces at the 4th Central Level Meeting on Security and Law Enforcement between Myanmar and Bangledesh Border Guard Forces in Nay Pyi Taw on November 15.
The two sides also agreed to open relations offices in Maungtaw in Myanmar and Teknaf in Bangladesh by December 2017.
